From the very beginning, Madison and Eli were clear about one thing for their wedding at Bar Harbor Club : they wanted their wedding day to feel unhurried. No squeezing moments into tight windows. No racing from one event to the next. Just space — to breathe, to be present, and to actually enjoy the day they worked so hard to plan.

Their entire day was thoughtfully designed around timing, intention, and meaningful experiences — and it showed in every moment.

An Intentionally Slow Morning

At every turn, Madison made it clear that her vision of the wedding day experience was one marked with calming moments that allowed her and her girls to feel at ease.

Foregoing the typical jam-packed morning with busy bodies and “what’s next?”, she chose to hire a professional vendor team that gave her the space to kick back, relax and pop some champagne on the balcony. This allowed us as her photography team ample time to gather getting ready photos, detail shots of her wedding attire and to be able to simply capture the morning as it unfolded rather than rushing around with stressful timelines.

And yes, that is a custom hand-painted champagne bottle! I was swooning over it as well.

Private Vows before the Coastal Ceremony Celebration

Instead of waiting until the aisle, Madison and Eli chose to share private vows before their ceremony. It was quiet, emotional, and deeply personal — just the two of them.

This intentional choice gave them the freedom to fully enjoy the rest of the day together. After the ceremony, there was no rush to pull them away for portraits or private moments. They were able to step straight into cocktail hour hand in hand, already grounded in what the day was really about.

The Coastal Ceremony of Your Dreams

Set against the calm coastal backdrop, their ceremony felt effortlessly elegant and deeply personal. Framed by lush white florals and soft greenery, Madison and Eli exchanged vows with the water just beyond, creating a setting that felt both timeless and intimate.

The neutral palette, flowing veil, and natural textures allowed that coastal landscape to shine without distraction — proof that a coastal ceremony doesn’t need excess seashells to feel elevated. It was serene, romantic, and quietly powerful, the kind of moment that feels just as beautiful as it looks.

Pro-Tip from a seasoned Maine Wedding Photographer — include your pup!

If your pup is part of your love story, include them. For Madison and Eli, having Baker by their side added joy, personality, and some of the most heartfelt moments of the day. You include the rest of your family throughout the day so why not include your fur family?

A True Bar Harbor, Maine Wedding Cocktail Hour – Complete with a Raw Bar

I spoke to this in my “Cocktail Hour Ideas Your Guests Will Remember” blog post — but to reiterate it here, I love when a couple choose to reflect their location in the cuisine for the cocktail hour. For Madison & Eli, that was a true Bar Harbor, Maine raw bar.

Because they planned their timeline so thoughtfully, Madison and Eli were fully present during cocktail hour — something many couples miss out on.

Guests gathered along the coast at The Bar Harbor Club, sipping signature cocktails, indulging in a beautifully styled raw bar, and soaking in those iconic Maine views. Meanwhile, Madison and Eli were right there with them — laughing, clinking glasses, and sharing real moments with the people they love most.

It was relaxed, joyful, and exactly the kind of atmosphere they envisioned.

A Saxophone Grand Entrance to Kick-Start The Party

And then… the energy shifted.

Instead of a traditional reception entrance, Madison and Eli made their way into the celebration behind a solo saxophone performance — and the room absolutely erupted. Guests were instantly on their feet, dancing, cheering, and fully ready to celebrate.

It was bold, unexpected, and completely them. A perfect reflection of the joy and personality they brought into every part of the day.

A Bar Harbor Club Wedding That Truly Felt Like Them

Madison and Eli’s wedding at The Bar Harbor Club was a reminder that a well-paced timeline changes everything. By prioritizing presence over pressure, they created a day that felt calm, meaningful, and wildly fun all at once.

From private vows and coastal cocktail hour to a heartfelt room reveal and an unforgettable saxophone entrance — every moment was intentional. And every moment mattered.
